The gaming industry is similar to the film industry. It makes perfect sense they have their own set of trailers to trigger their crowd. Grab your consoles and get set for six game-teasers!

Hit Pressure

Just like a good movie, a gaming hit is pressured by a sequel. The fans of ‘Beyond Good and Evil’ are already waiting for more than 15 years. Until this day Ubisoft keeps the fans in the dark. The only beacon of light is this teaser trailer which feels like a short film.

Even for the non-gamer (like myself) this video feels majestic. The characters feel rich, diverse and very detailed. I’ll burn a candle for all the fans out there for good news.

All tease, No play

Giant Ant had great pleasure in creating this trailer video. Their teaser is a nice glimpse of the future gameplay.

With a simple yet very effective camera pan, you get a good feeling of the gameplay and world(s) to discover. Unfortunately, the game never saw the light of day. I can’t imagine Giant Ant was to blame with this little gem.

Battle of Balls

Mobile gaming is big. Director Doseok Park and the crew at Alfred Imageworks created a rich backstory for their super simple, yet addictive multiplayer game.

As if Pixar created a new short! The already fifth (background) episode was written in a sing-a-long style. This way Alfred Imageworks tried to differentiate it from other traditional game trailers. Mission accomplished! I do wonder what this big budget could do for the game itself…

Play Fearlessly

PlayStation helps people free themselves from their boring daily life. The consoles spot teaches us to never hold back.

French yellow vests eat your heart out. BBH New York created a rebellious spot that matches perfectly the brand’s credo ‘for the players’. Director Garth Davis delivered a cinematic spot where the players are depicted as true believers with a mutual goal: never hold back. Nice work produced by Reset.

Shaolin Style

You need to practice every day. So when the time comes, you will be ready.

My friends at Colorbleed directed and produced the trailer for ‘9 Monkeys of Shaolin’. The style is very refreshing and blends the game together with Japanese anime. Another proof of their very diverse set of skills.

The biggest Quest

No spoilers for this trailer video. All I’ll say it’s payback time…

With over 30 million gamers in the UK alone, Stand Up To Cancer calls on this growing community to help them beat cancer. Anomaly reached out to the biggest games for this surprising ad(campaign). A very smart move which resulted in 24 million pounds for the charity.
