It’s most probably the start of your day. Wether it’s coffee or tea I give you six shots of motion to kickstart your week.

Twinings tea

Clients love it when you make their product the start of their spot. Production agency Parabola gave Twinings teas what they hoped for. Thousands of thee bags enlighten the world of the tea drinker. This stop motion spot is so beautifully crafted that it almost made me switch to tea.

Quality ingredients

JWT Canada went a step further and literally took fresh ground coffee to tell the journey of the ideal cup of coffee. Again the craftsmanship of the product was translated into a stop motion spot. Directed by Alan Poon and produced by Common Good. Extra credits to the animators on set Dale Hayward and Evan DeRushie.

Death Wish

What if your product is as sexy as…. accountant software? Intuit Quickbooks came with the wise decision to let their users shine (and them in the slipstream). At the last Super Bowl they gave their airtime to Death wish coffee: a fiercely caffeinated drink.

Wish for something else

Not everyone is as smart and bold as Intuit Quickbooks. The next spot opens with high quality slomo shots, but ends up being Nescafe coffee. Talking about a bitter after taste.

Life’s unfair

It doesn’t matter how hideous you are. When you’re a rock star, you get all the women. Good thing for Moyee: a fair-trade coffee that let’s you enjoy the very best and at the same time more income to the local coffee growers. Great concept by 180 Amsterdam.

Challenge accepted

Let’s face it… tea isn’t the manliest drink in the world. Doc Brown took upon this challenge and created a rap song. The music video was directed and animated by my favourite 2D animator Fraser Davidson at Cub Studio.

Coffee Man

I choose the dark side and to be precise ristretto senza zucchero. If you are as picky as me I have two tips for you: Get a Pavoni Europiccola and blend some fresh Bravi café beans while you’re at it.
