Don Tapscott, an advisor of BOSagora project and Chairman of the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), visited Korea on the 16th.
During his visit, he shared insights for the future and development of the Korean blockchain industry by having meetings with various government agencies, local governments, and companies, and giving a keynote speech at the Korea Herald-hosted BizForum.
In a meeting with local governments, corporations, and government agencies, BOSagora also shared in-depth opinions on the direction and future of the blockchain industry as industry experts with Don Tapscott. BOSagora also shares various possibilities and has laid the foundation for the expansion of the BOSagora business ecosystem.
The highlights of the past week are as follows:
Day #1–17th(Monday)
Meeting with the mayor of Seoul Metropolitan City
In a meeting with Seoul Metropolitan City Mayor Oh Se-Hoon held at Seoul City Hall, opinions were exchanged on the overall status of the global industry and the use of blockchain to build a digital platform in Seoul.
Taking this meeting as an opportunity, we agreed to work together to make Seoul the most ideal digital platform city in the world by continuously conducting a forum for exchanges with world-class innovators and scholars.
Blockchain Officials Meeting
In the evening, we had dinner with operators and officials who lead the Korean blockchain industry. The meeting was attended by Lee Jung-Yeop, President of the Blockchain Law Association, Lee Jun-Haeng, GOPAX CEO, Noh Jin-Woo, Hexlant CEO, Choi Yong-Ho, Galaxy Corporations CEO, Cho Won-Hee, D-Light Law firm CEO, and Goran TV, Goran CEO. As all of the participants were from the blockchain industry, it was realistic and it was an opportunity to have a conversation about the major challenges facing the industry and to gather constructive opinions for the development of the industry.
Day #2–18th(Tuesday)
Startup Lecture and Meeting in Pangyo
In Pangyo, Chairman Don Tapscott’s lecture and meetings with startups were held to discuss issues that could be collaborated together in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
Meeting with KT company
This meeting, which was held at the KT Building located in Gwanghwamun, was an opportunity to exchange insights on various fields such as the utility of blockchain and kiosks. It was a meeting that made us look forward to the usability of blockchain technology and the changing future.

Meeting with The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies
He gave a lecture at the ‘Digital Future Education and Jobs Meet with Blockchain’ talk concert hosted by The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies. After the lecture, through Q&A, Chairman Don Tapscott heard about the future that blockchain technology changes. In addition, we were able to hear about various topics that are practically helpful, such as what we need to prepare for and promising jobs in the future.
Day #3–19th(Wednesday)
Lecture at BizForum hosted by the Korea Herald
Chairman Don Tapscott, who was in charge of the keynote speech at the Biz Forum, gave a lecture on the current status of the global blockchain industry and major ecosystems and projects that will lead the industry in the future. In particular, we proudly listed our BOSagora among several platforms that shared insights on Web 3.0, which is currently attracting the most attention, and was selected as a promising platform.
In-Hwan Kim, Chairman of the BOSagora Foundation, also participated as a speaker and made a presentation about the future that BOSagora dreams of and the direction of the blockchain platform should take. Through the ‘Real-Life Blockchain Platform’ that combines real life and blockchain technology that BOSagora is preparing, compensation which is concentrated only on companies will be evenly distributed to actual users and will be able to advance the future toward a fair and a ‘better world’ in which everyone lives together.
In particular, the K2E (Kiosk to Earn) model, which utilizes a kiosk that is directly connected to the real economy in many ways, has been well received by many people saying that it can be easily used and rewarded as much as it is used wherever a kiosk is installed.
It was also an opportunity to sympathize with the importance of DAO for living such a fair and independent life.
Meeting with the Minister of Science and ICT
There was a meeting with the Minister of Science and ICT, a major department that will lead the new digital era in Korea. As it is a major ministry, we could feel that it is carrying out the flow of professional knowledge and industry. It was a place where we were able to actively exchange with global scholars, and it was a place where we were able to believe that Korea would be able to establish itself as a global industrial leader based on their broad knowledge.
Day #4–20th(Thursday)
Meeting with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is an economic ministry that works day and night for hundreds of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses and millions of small business owners. As the blockchain industry is one of the major industries that will lead the new digital era, we felt a lot of interest and it was an opportunity to share concerns about the direction of the industry.
A meaningful step towards the expansion of the BOSagora platform ecosystem
The last week’s schedule with Chairman Don Tapscott was a meaningful time for the success of the BOSagora project. It was a week where we were confident about the direction the blockchain industry should go in the future and how to build a business ecosystem for BOSagora to lead an important part of the industry through meetings with many blockchain industry officials and companies, local governments, and government agencies.
In the not-too-distant future, blockchain technology will play a pivotal role in making the world a more fair and transparent society. To this end, BOSagora builds the most important fair and transparent voting system in democracy, and in purchasing products and using services necessary in daily life, we want to build a sustainable blockchain platform where all wealth is reasonably distributed to users rather than subordinated to companies or some groups, so that everyone can be satisfied.
In the future, BOSagora plans to continuously communicate with various industrial partners, government agencies and local governments to ‘make a better world’ through blockchain technology. We hope that the community will support and watch the future that BOSagora creates one by one.

방문기간 동안 여러 정부기관, 지자체, 기업과의 미팅과 코리아해럴드 주관 비즈포럼에서 기조연설자로 발표를 하며 한국 블록체인 산업의 미래와 발전을 위한 견식을 공유하는 자리를 가졌습니다.
보스아고라도 돈탭스콧 회장과 함께 지자체, 기업, 정부기관들과의 미팅에서 산업전문가로 블록체인 산업이 나아가야할 방향과 미래에 대해 심도깊게 의견을 나누었습니다. 또한 다양한 가능성을 공유하며 보스아고라 비즈니스 생태계 확장을 위한 초석을 다졌습니다.

Day #1–17일(월)
오세훈 서울특별시장 미팅
서울 시청에서 진행된 오세훈 서울특별시장과의 미팅에서는 전반적인 글로벌 산업 현황과 서울시 디지털 플랫폼 구축을 위한 블록체인 활용방안 등에 대해 의견을 나누었습니다.
이번 면담을 계기로 지속적으로 세계적인 혁신가와 석학들과의 교류의 장을 만들어 서울을 전세계에서 가장 이상적인 디지털 플랫폼 도시로 성장시키기 위해 협력하는데 의견을 모았습니다.
블록체인 사업자 미팅
저녁에는 한국 블록체인 업계를 이끄는 사업자 및 관계자들과의 저녁식사를 함께 했습니다. 미팅에는 블록체인법학회 이정엽 회장, 고팍스 이준행 대표, 헥슬란트 노진우 대표, 겔럭시코퍼레이션 최용호 대표, 디라이트 조원희 대표, 고란TV 고란 대표가 참석했습니다. 참석자 모두가 블록체인 업계 관계자들인 만큼 현실적이고 산업이 직면하고 있는 주요 과제에 대해서 가감없이 대화를 나누며 산업의 발전을 위해 건설적인 의견을 모으는 자리였습니다.

판교 스타트업 강연 및 미팅
판교에서는 돈탭스콧 회장의 강연과 스타트업 기업과의 미팅을 통해 함께 협업할 수 있는 안건들에 대해 편하고 즐거운 분위기속에서 나누었습니다.
KT 임원진 미팅
광화문에 위치한 KT 빌딩에서 진행된 이번 미팅에서는 블록체인의 활용성과 키오스크 등 다양한 분야에 대해서 서로의 식견이 오고가는 자리였습니다. 블록체인 기술의 활용성과 변화시키는 미래가 더욱 기대되게 하는 미팅이었습니다.
한국과학기술단체 총연합회 미팅
한국과학기술단체 총연합회에서 주관한 ‘블록체인으로 만나는 디지털 미래교육과 일자리’ 토크콘서트에서 강연을 진행했습니다. 강연 이후에는 질의 응답을 통해 돈탭스콧 회장이 바라보는 블록체인 기술이 변화시키는 미래에 들었습니다. 또한 이를 대비하기위해 우리가 준비해야할 일과 앞으로 유망한 일자리 등 실질적으로 도움이되는 다양한 주제들에 대해 들을 수 있었습니다.
Day #3–19일(수)
코리아헤럴드 주관 비즈포럼 강연
비즈포럼 기조연설을 맡은 돈탭스콧 회장은 글로벌 블록체인 산업의 현황과 앞으로 산업을 리드할 주요 생태계와 프로젝트들에 대해 강연을 했습니다. 특히 현재 가장 주목받고 있는 웹3.0에 대한 식견을 공유하고 유망한 플랫폼으로 꼽은 여러 플랫폼 중 저희 보스아고라도 당당하게 이름을 올렸습니다.
보스아고라재단 김인환 이사장도 연사로 참여하여 보스아고라가 꿈꾸는 미래와 블록체인 플랫폼이 나아가야하는 방향성에 대해서 발표를 했습니다. 보스아고라가 준비하고 있는 실생활과 블록체인 기술이 융합된 ‘리얼라이프 블록체인 플랫폼’을 통해 기업들에게만 치중되어 있는 보상이 실사용자에게 골고루 분배되어 공정하고 모두가 더불어 사는 ‘더 나은 세상’으로 나아가는 미래를 앞당길 수 있을 것입니다.
특히 실물경제에 직접적으로 다방면으로 접목되어 있는 키오스크를 활용한 K2E(Kiosk to Earn) 모델은 많은 이들로 하여금 키오스크가 설치되어 있는 곳이라면 어디서든 사용하는 만큼 보상을 제공받고 쉽게 사용할 수 있다는데 호응을 얻었습니다.
또한 이런 공정하고 자기 주체적인 삶을 살아가기 위한 DAO의 중요성에 대해서도 공감하는 자리였습니다.
과학기술정보통신부 장관 미팅
한국의 새로운 디지털 시대를 이끌어갈 주요 부서인 과학기술정보통신부 장관과의 미팅이 있었습니다. 주요 부처인 만큼 전문적인 지식과 산업의 흐름을 관철하고 있음을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 글로벌 석학들과의 교류도 활발하게 하여 넓은 견문을 바탕으로 한국을 글로벌 산업 리딩 국가로 자리매김할 수 있을 것이라는 믿음이 생기는 자리였습니다.

중소벤처기업부 장관 미팅
중소벤처기업부는 수십만개의 중소기업과 수백만의 소상공인들을 위해 불철주야 일하는 경제부처인 만큼 새로운 디지털 시대를 이끌어 갈 미래의 주역들을 지원하고 성장시키는 매우 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있습니다. 블록체인 산업이 새로운 디지털 시대를 이끌 주요 산업 중 하나인 만큼 많은 관심을 느꼈고, 산업의 방향성에 대한 고민을 함께 나누는 자리였습니다.
보스아고라 플랫폼 생태계의 확장을 위한 의미있는 한걸음
돈탭스콧 회장과 함께한 지난 한주간의 일정은 보스아고라 프로젝트의 성공에 있어서 큰 의미가 있는 시간이었습니다. 많은 블록체인 산업 관계자와 기업, 지자체, 정부기관과의 미팅을 통해 앞으로 블록체인 산업이 가야할 방향과 보스아고라가 산업의 중요한 파트를 이끌기 위한 비즈니스 생태계 구축방안에 대해서 확신을 갖는 한 주였습니다.
