From July 20th to 27th, BOSAGORA and its community members, BOSAGORians, showed solidarity in supporting and comforting flood victims especially in the Southern regions of China.
With weeks of pouring rain that showed no mercy, the flood left 38 million victims — more than the entire population in Canada — battered with destroyed homes and livelihoods. Hit by COVID-19 and again by floodwaters, this heartbreaking news has moved BOSAGORA team to use and mobilize its BOAs and community to support its Overcome Flood: Jia You Donation Campaign.
The Campaign urged BOSAGORians to react to the flood crisis together by joining the donation campaign using BOAs to make a donation to be sent to the Red Cross in China by Hyundai LCD. Hyundai LCD promised to be BOSAGORA’s donation partner, jointly raising the donation fund and sending it to the Red Cross directly in China. This partnership has led to a transparent, quick, and direct delivery of BOA donations to yuan when time is of essence.
With more than 36,225BOAs raised, BOSAGORians showed deep care and flooding love for the flood victims. The total amount of donation funding raised by BOSAGORA amounted to $2551.72 calculated by the rates on the 27th.

Along with the donation, BOSAGORIans shared cheer up messages in SNS by hand-writing “Jia You (加油),” which means “Cheer Up!” in Chinese in their SNS and within BOSAGORA community.
As it is the first time BOSAGORA has initiated a funding campaign in BOA, participants and BOSAGORians had the opportunity to participate in BOA’s real use-case and also expressed high hopes that BOSAGORA is a project that transcends borders and can make a better world, which is the vision of BOSAGORA. BOSAGORA team will continue to find good usages of BOA, which can not only make BOA more valuable in the financial term, but also create a positive impact on the societal term.

BOSAGORA는 ‘현대 LCD’와 함께 협력하여 기부된 보아를 중국 적십자사에 보내 중국의 홍수 위기 극복에 힘을 보탤 예정입니다. 현대 LCD는 중국 현지에 있는 기업으로 모금된 BOA와 함께 자체 모금한 기부금을 중국 적십자사에 전달하는 기부 파트너로 캠페인에 동참했습니다. 현대 LCD와의 파트너십 덕분에 기부된 BOA를 빠르고 투명하게 위안화로 변경하여 제때에 수재민들을 도울 수 있게 되었습니다.
모금 기간 동안 총 36,225 BOA(18,069 yuan)를 모금함으로써, 보스아고리안들은 홍수 피해자들에게 큰 관심과 애정을 보여주었습니다. BOSAGORA가 모금한 기부금은 27일 자 환율 기준으로 총 $2551.72에 달했습니다.
