[ANN] Milestone Updates
There have been a few updates to the milestone regarding the BOScoin project.
Key Milestones
- M0 Demo [2017 May 2nd] : Trust Contract Concept
- Fundraiser [2017 May 10th]
- M1 Alpha [2017 July] : Testnet (FBA, Trust Contract for remittances, and Inference Engine) *No incentive system
- M2 Genesis [2017 October] : Livenet (Simple Trust Contracts with Inference Engine & Blockchain Explorer)
- M3 Nebula : Proposals and Voting Ontology development and application
- M4 Sirius : Self-evolving chain and SPV Mobile Wallets
The testnet is planned to go live in July and the Genesis block is planned for October. While developing the product and getting ready for the Fundraising event, we decided to focus on getting the inference engine right. Using a semantic language to construct decidable contracts on the blockchain took longer than we originally thought.
Many inference engines are not a good fit for the blockchain. They may not promise decidability or have efficiency issues. However tests seem to be going well with the current set-up, and we are expecting to get remittances running with Trust Contracts by July.
There was also a bit of reorganization of the milestones. Trust Contracts, Ontologies, and Proposals & Governance are organized as separate rows to clarify our targets.
