Boson Protocol partners with OVR to enable AR Commerce

Boson Protocol is thrilled to announce that we have partnered with OVR, the leading AR platform working together to build a community owned open metaverse built on top of Boson Protocol’s decentralized commerce infrastructure.

Boson Protocol V2 will enable anyone to sell digi-physical items in the Metaverse as NFTs. It will be the first web3 commerce settlement layer, allowing anyone to transact without relying on a centralized intermediary.

OVR is a world scale, open-source, AR platform powered by Ethereum. The OVR team are looking forward to embedding Boson Protocol V2 into their open metaverse platform to enable decentralized commerce.

This will further drive the merging of physical and digital worlds, introducing web3 primitives into commerce such as the paired sale of a physical item with an NFT, or the use of certificates to prove ownership of a physical asset.

Whilst OVR makes it possible for users provided with a mobile device or smart glasses to experience live interactive augmented reality experiences customised in the real world. Boson Protocol is the decentralized commerce protocol that enables products, services and experiences to be sold as NFTs in the metaverse.

Technology is blurring the borders between physical and digital, OVR mixes the two in a compelling visual experience, Boson allows for a bridge between digital and physical ownership of assets.
