Carlos Eduardo Lyra Barbosa Born in the neighborhood of Botafogo, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on May 11, 1933. He was the oldest son of José Domingos Barbosa and housewife Helena Lyra Barbosa, has two brothers: Sérgio Henrique Lyra Barbosa. He was a Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist, along with Roberto Menescal, he was one of the young figures of bossa nova. He was part of a more activist bossa nova, proposing the return of rhythm to its roots in samba. Among his most famous songs are "Você e Eu", "Coisa mais Linda", "Influência do Jazz", among others.
