Vinicius de Morais was born on October 19, 1913, in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. Son of Clodoaldo Pereira da Silva Moraes, City Hall employee, poet and amateur violinist, and Lydia Cruz de Moraes, amateur pianist, according to studies, the bathroom was the favorite place of the artist's house. He even liked to write while sitting in his bathtub. Still according to research, Vinicius loved to cook, he also liked to smoke and drink whiskey, the artist said that this drink was the most "noble", and he defined it as man's best friend. "It's the bottled dog", he used to say. He was a poet, playwright, journalist, diplomat, singer and composer and although his true passion was poems, he was very successful with Tom Jobim, and later with Toquinho, Vinicius started to become prestigious with his play "Orfeu da Conceição".
