Report: Boston 0 Harrogate 3
The Pilgrims lost to Harrogate Town as their winless run on York St Saturdays stretched to over 300 days (which it will be by the time Darlington 1883 visit in a fortnight’s time).
United nearly went behind inside the first 5 minutes, but a long range effort sailed over Durrant’s head but hit the crossbar.
Only 25 minutes later, however, Boston conceded the first goal of the game (something they have done in 9 of 13 home games this season), Ainge putting 9th placed Town ahead to the delight of the 57 hosting supporters.
At half time a win still looked possible, although not probable, for United, but another home defeat was sealed on 58 minutes. A catalogue of errors from an uncommunicative defence allowed Louis Swain to double the advantage as he ran around Durrant.
With 9 minutes left on the clock a dubious penalty was awarded to Harrogate, and Joe Leesley planted his spot-kick down the middle to once again delight the small but vocal visiting section.
