Report: Boston 3 Chorley 1

A dominant second half display against play-off placed Chorley gave Boston their fifth home win of the season.

The Pilgrims went in 1–0 down at the break, as Chorley’s Jake Cottrell took advantage of Robinson’s slip to take a 24th minute lead for the Magpies.

United looked beaten at the break, but emerged from the interval looking dangerous. 10 minutes of Pilgrims pressure earned Adam Chapman a penalty. The midfielder stepped up and became only the second United player this season to score a penalty (the first being Liam Agnew).

Fast forward to the 62nd minute and the Pilgrims were in front. Tom Batchelor’s header from Simmon’s corner was spilled into the path of debutant Jan Yeomans who stabbed home.

Lewis Hilliard extended the lead on 74 minutes, finishing expertly from the edge of the area.
