Botmetrics v0.4 — Follow Your Path Edition
We’re excited to kick off the new year with another release of Botmetrics.
Version 0.4 of Botmetrics is focused on conversion. First with Link tracking provides an automatic way to track users who click an outbound link from your chatbot. Path Analysis then digs deep in into the conversations that your users are having to understand the journey that users took between two points in your conversational flow — for example: User Signed Up → User Completed Purchase.

Path Analysis provides bot makers instant insight into how many people started and completed the path between two points in your conversational UI AND reveals how many additional user interactions were required to complete the path. This provides clear markers for the complexity within the current conversational flows that is causing user frustration. Learn more.
Optimize Customer Conversion: Automatic Link Tracking
Botmetrics customers use web links for a variety of purposes including — e-commerce, content sharing or perhaps to direct a user to an additional form or flow on the web. Link tracking is now a built-in feature along side custom conversation analytics.
Botmakers can now see exactly which users clicked a link and how many times with in Botmetrics. In addition, these events can also be used to further segment users. For example — if a user doesn’t click a purchase link you can use Botmetrics notifications to follow up. To set up link tracking simply wrap your link using one of bot metrics SDKs. Simply pass in the bot-user-id provided by platform (Facebook/Kik/Slack) along the with link you want to track. Learn More
Fit and Finish: Rich User Profiles And Faster Interface
Users panels across the UI have gotten prettier with a nice profile photo for each user. So now you can see easily put a name with a face for all your users.
The insights and notifications are also faster by an order of magnitude for customers with large data sets. Finally, we’ve implemented a host of house cleaning fixes including a major update of the underlying graphing component which speeds up the rendering up to 100x by batching animation frames and eliminating extraneous data copies, everything runs faster, smoother and with less CPU for all the dashboard and visual components.
