Product update for April 2018

Botmock Team: Release Party

Over the past few weeks our team has been working hard to improve the overall product, add some new features and pave the way for some exciting future updates.

So without further ado, here are some key updates:

Design Twitter DM Bots

We get a lot of requests for extending our conversation designer to other platforms and today, we are excited to share that we are adding support for Twitter DM bots to our app.

You will now to be able to use the familiar conversation designer to build amazing Twitter DM bot experiences and really visualize the journey that your user would take.

Get Organized with Folders

With all these different platforms and a ever-growing number of users who are using Botmock for big and small projects, keeping things organized is always a challenge.

How to add project to a folder

To fix this, today, we are adding support for folders within your Botmock dashboard. With Folders, you will be able to stay organized with your projects and teams. You can create as many folders as you need and when you delete a folder, all projects within that folder are automatically transferred under “All”.

This is just the start of our dashboard optimizations. There is more to come in future releases. :)

Attach Your Voice to Alexa Conversations

Until now we were dynamically generating the audio for user replies within your Amazon Alexa conversations. While this was a great way to quick start, there were some instances where you want to present a more human demo. So today, you can attach your own custom recorded MP3 directly to your user reply.

When available, your MP3 will be used in the previews and the end user will hear exactly the experience that you are designing for.

User utterances

You can now enter multiple user utterances within a User Reply to show various ways a user can reply or invoke a command. The first utterance is what we will use to render the output in previews but the all of them will be available when accessed via our API.

This feature is currently available for Facebook Messenger but we will be rolling it out to all other platforms.

Better Gif & Video Exports

Over the past few weeks, we have been testing, with a few select customers, a new technology to generate the Gif and Video outputs for your conversation mocks. We ran into some bug during this process but thanks to your patience and bug reporting, we are now officially in the clear. With this release all of our users will get the new export pipeline.

Free users will have non-HD exports and all paid customers will get HD exports.

We have also improved the speed at which these exports are generated and all paid users will have higher priority when exporting.

The Future

As I mentioned at the start of this note:

…and pave the way for some exciting future updates

Our team is working on some really exciting features and based on your feedback we are constantly improving the core editing and collaboration experience. This update will enable us to launch some of the upcoming features better and faster.

We love to hear from you. If you have any questions, thoughts or suggestions on what we can do better please let reach out to us. :)

Thanks,

Obaid & Botmock Team
