Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day

When building a startup, it is important to keep the long-term goal clear in your mind. It is easy to get caught up in bridling processes that you don’t even know you need, building technology that might be useless in next few months, features that don’t add value to your customers and much more. The trick is to always pull back once in a while. I recommend taking 2 hours on Saturday to personally reflect on your execution as the captain of the ship. Next Monday, do the same with your team. It will take some practice to get the right rhythm but you will see the impact in a few months, if not weeks.

This idea isn’t new. It has been long established that to make anything your habit you have to do it over and over and over. That’s how habits are made. Both good and bad.

And remember Rome wasn’t built in a day – and the same applies to your startup.
