If you can’t beat Google, send your bots to take away its Android users traffic — Bots are causing a new ‘World War’..

The new era of Ai Virtual assistance (Bots) is posing a HUGE threat to the Google search and Adwords model. Giant companies spotted the opportunity and its Bots are ‘dressed to kill’.

In the recent weeks it became clear that bots could end up being soldiers in a huge war against Google. How come?

Voice technology via Virtual Assistance, is transforming computing. Unlike typing a written search, which apparently most users did using Google, asking the user’s Bots a voice or written question will get it to look for the answers anywhere its creator decided it should.

Moreover, if the answers to the users questions are either read to them (by their virtual assistance), or written back by a ChatBot using any messaging App, the users are not exposed to the Google Ads. Ads which are based on top of any search at its website. A fact which can undermine the Google major revenue source.

In order not to lose it ruling share at the Android front, and not just in its own device (Pixel), Google had created a version of their “Google assistance” Bot for various Android devices.

However, manufactures who were supposed to use the Google bot decided not to. Huawei recently opted for Amazon’s Alexa assistant instead of Google’s on its phones, (The Google Assistant isn’t yet available for non-Google phones), which apparently caused some tension between the companies. It is said LG will follow to Alexa as well.

The war over the Android users traffic is now out in the open. Another huge Android Operational System (OS) based devices manufacture, Samsung, does not plan to implement the Google assistance as well. In fact, It is adding Viv (which will probably be named “Bixby”) ,the Bot which Samsung recently acquired, to their new models which will air during 2017. Viv will most likely direct users to the Samsung resources, as it is a common knowledge that the various Samsung Apps could use “directed” traction.

“The Google Assistant isn’t yet available for non-Google phones”

The opportunity Bots created, to gain Android users traffic, became clear even to “non Android” players. Bots allowed Microsoft to keep on strengthening its Android grasp, which started with the acquisition of the Swiftkey Mobile keyboard a year ago, which was very dominant with Android already.

Microsoft CEO Nadella backs his statement that “Bots are the new Apps” by bringing Cortana, its “Mega Meta Bot” to the Google’s Android lock screen . Thus, addressing the Android users at the android very front door…

Furthermore, this declaration of Microsoft comes only a week after it was announced that MS Cortana will be the Personal assistant at the connected Cars, making sure that the Cars bot won’t be Google assistance, even if cars will use the Android OS . And guess what, Cortana’s resource for search results will not be Google, but Bing.

“Microsoft’s Cortana is to be placed on the Google’s Android Lock Screen..”

Huawei, LG, Samsung Microsoft and few other companies, spotted a weak point at the Android which will allow them more control over the users traction.

It seems Personal assistance when placed on the Android OS does the job a “trojan horse”. it controls & directs users traction.

For some reason Facebook , a major Bot player does not seem to be taking part in the “war” on the Android users traction. FB seems to be busy getting its personal assistance “M” to bring FB own users to discover its own Bots. “M” will be placed over the FB Messenger, rather than on an Android feature which could end up gaining additional Android users attention.

True, Google is extremely rich company and has huge resources to fight back. For once, it owns the Android OS itself. It can decide when to upgrade it and which features it’ll include. Moreover, it uses its own mobile keyboard, Gboard, to monitor not just the Android users, but also the Apple ones (The Gboard could be downloaded from the iTunes as well).

However, Microsoft wasn’t a poor company when Google took over its lead few years back… And besides, who would have thought before the Bots era that any company, will even think to take on any of the Android users traffic from Google?! Bots made it possible. Their “crawling” into Operation Systems and into our reality is unstoppable.

In fact, even in the front of its Mobile keyboard, Bots threatens to take on some of its market grasp. A Bots Matching Mobile keyboard, based on the 60 Million downloads Keyboard, is yet to take its share and direct users to relevant Bots on any platform.

No doubt, Bots are about to create a new reality, enabling 2017 to be a turning point year for the way users consume data over mobile devices.
