Last week we introduced The Week! A Medium weekly roundup of everything BotSupply.

If you liked last week’s issue, you are not going to be disappointed this week:

We went to hamburg.ai, the first event of city.ai in Hamburg, we flew to Paris and Milan to meet clients, and we kept pushing the bot agenda forward.

Read on and discover it all!

Sunday

Sunday is board meeting day!

So, what’s all the buzz with these computers guys?!

With the difference that BotSupply’s board meetings look more like this:

And this:

Monday

Fuck it! Ship It!

MotherBot is the platform we have created so that clients can manage their bots, see analytics and test the Natural Language Processing engine.

Last Monday it was all about shipping a few missing features for Motherbot!

Dev team motto!

Tuesday

Meeting marathon!

Tuesday we met with Lokalist, an upcoming Danish marketplace for people to sell their used stuff. You may be thinking there’s nothing new in that idea, but you would be wrong!

They have created a new bidding system to improve the experience for both buyers and sellers dramatically.

And they have a Messenger Bot! A Typeform Messenger Bot to be precise.

Try it out HERE and let us know what you think.

Then we met with Leo Pharma Innovation Lab to help them out on an internal prototype.

The HealthTech space is full of interesting use cases for bots and the opportunities to improve people’s life are numerous:

Just take a look at this video… wouldn’t it be fantastic to receive personalized advice on your skin condition from an omniscient bot rather than a generic video?

We concluded the day attending an event at Univate about Automated Decision Intelligence and the Human Decision System theorized by Finn Gilling.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we split!

The team went to meet Zetland, an independent newspaper that has developed a keen interest in bots and the messaging space.

In the meantime, I took the train and headed to Hamburg to join Kumar Shridhar for the Hamburg.ai event.

Hamburg here I come!

Thursday

The busiest day of the week! Probably

The team in Copenhagen had a series of interesting meetings and calls with clients and potential partners, starting from Mobile Life, the corporate innovation branch of Danske Bank.

If you don’t know Mobile Life, you definitely know Mobile Pay!

The widely adopted mobile payments system is Mobile Life biggest success:

In only ten months from launch, one in three Danish smartphones users had installed Mobile Pay. That’s 20% of the whole population!

Though there’s a lot more in Mobile Life disruption back-burner as explained by CMO in this video interview:

While the team was busy discussing disruption in the Fintech space, I was at Mindspace Hamburg for the Hamburg.ai event.

Mindspace is a co-working company owning spaces in several German cities.

Here’s a peak of their Hamburg office location:

This week was the first of a series of events bringing together the Ai community in Hamburg. The guys at Hamburg.ai have done a great job putting together a compelling speakers’ lineup:

And it seems our NLP ninja Kumar Shridhar enjoyed the event:

If you haven’t done so yet, read Kumar Shridhar article on BotSupply Cognitive blog, where he describes the challenges of creating a chatbot that can generate its answers. A project he worked on in the context of the Loebner Prize:

Friday

Thank god it’s Friday! Not so fast baby! 😎

Less than 24 hours in Hamburg and we are already on our way back to Copenhagen to attend another event on Artificial Intelligence:

Once back in Copenhagen, we headed to journey.xp office for garage.ai:

an Artificial intelligence centered Meetup organized by journey.xp gathering people from the Copenhagen Ai community with the goal of sharing ideas and best practices.

Here’s the speakers’ presenting at the event:

  • Péter Szinger, Data Scientist at Journey.xp
  • Rasmus Berg Palm, Industrial PhD at Tradeshift
  • Søren Lind Kristiansen, Data Scientist at Vivino

A lot of practical insights from people owning the craft of building Neural Networks and Recommender Systems. Thanks, guys! 🙏🙏🙏

Saturday

And off to the skies again!

Not even the time to settle back in Copenhagen and off we go to Paris and then to Milan to meet potential clients.

Stay tuned, next week’s issue will be even juicier! 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
