Case Study: How I’d sell this vacation spot
The easiest way to learn “great” marketing
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s how I always get my best ideas after hearing “analysis” of other campaigns.
Don’t get me wrong, it probably helps that I understand the fundamentals and all that, but there’s something about seeing them in “live action”.
Tends to help you learn everything better that way, so for today’s article, that’s exactly what I want to do.
Going to turn up the “difficulty” a little bit as well, mainly because we’ll be selling a unique item (i.e. vacation spot), and to make things even better — it’s located in the middle of nowhere:
Okoboji, IA
If you’re not familiar with Okoboji, it’s pretty much an oasis in Iowa.
For any Iowan within a 200 mile radius, it’s where most of us flock for vacation every year, primarily because it’s fun and close.
You can get a “real vacation feel”, without having to travel thousands of miles, and it’s really not THAT expensive either.
Compared to other hotspots, such as:
- Lake Tahoe
- Ozarks
- Colorado
- Etc…
