Since I first came across Yuval Noah Harari, I’ve been a fan of his. I recently saw him on CNN, where he was interviewed (I wrote an article about it), and decided to write a book review.

Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens is a book that will change your perspective on the world. Sapiens tells us how we became the dominant species on earth and why we may be at the end of our reign.

It shows that for tens of thousands of years, Sapiens were not masters of knowledge but mastered their environment. It was only after the Agricultural Revolution where humans started to learn from one another. And accumulate understanding about themselves and their surroundings.

Sapiens gives an account of where Homo Sapiens has been in control.

But what if it’s all coming to an end?

The book became a global bestseller and has been translated into 45 languages. “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” was published in 2011, and it’s sold more than 12 million copies worldwide.

Why is it so Important?

The book Sapiens is a history of our species, from when Homo Sapiens first evolved to the present.

This book is so important because it provides information about our past and how to shape our future. Yuval tells us what the most urgent questions that are facing us now are. And provides various possible solutions so that we can prepare for them in advance.

Sapiens is necessary for anyone who wants to understand humanity. How it arose and where we are heading. Sapiens tells us that our imagination has always shaped the world. Rather than what exists in nature.

What changed for me after I read it?

Sapiens has changed my perspective on how I view the world. The book Sapiens tells us that we are not a dominant species and that our reign may end soon. It shows Sapien’s history. From us being a vulnerable species to now where we have become strong through our interaction with others. And the accumulation of knowledge about ourselves and the environment around us.

Humans became powerful because humans started to learn from one another rather than conquer nature or other animals to survive. Harari gives us many possible scenarios for what will happen next if Sapiens keeps going down this path. By dominating everything else but ourselves too much. Without thinking about consequences beforehand, which might lead us all into extinction at some time.

Sapiens changed my perspective on human history and helped me better understand why humans dominate other species. Without realizing the damage, we may cause in the future.

What should you know?

Sapiens will show you a new side of yourself that you never knew existed. Sapiens shows that humans used to be a vulnerable species, but they started to accumulate knowledge about themselves and their environment, making them more potent than ever before. Sapien’s history is from being a weapon-using, physically fit hunter-gatherer to becoming an agriculturalist who learned to breed animals for meat and milk production.

Sapiens tells us that the world has always been shaped by our imagination rather than what exists in nature; this book will change your perspective on life because you’ll start looking at things differently!

Sapiens changed my perspective on how humans progressed throughout history. It made me realize that we need to think ahead before making any decision or action because everything you do matters!

Sapiens is important for everyone who wishes to comprehend human history and Sapien’s future. It is a must-read for me. I’ve read it twice already, and I’m looking forward to rereading it again! I’m wondering if you’ve heard about it or perhaps already read it? If so, did you enjoy it? If not, do you plan to read it in the future?
