Picture this: It’s a calm night, and you are with your favourite book by the window, and engrossed in reading. When you open the book and go through its page, you are taken to a different world. You watch the characters’ actions, empathize with them, act and even reason with your own, Integer brain while focusing on the characters. However, I bet you did not know that every time youread fiction, your brain is in a different state without your knowledge.
Reading is much more than mere pastime as it is often times attributed to. That is why it is a mental workout that enhances other employments of the mind in ways we sometimes do not realize.
To be more precise, reading increases one’s brain capacities with time, factors that include psychological well-being, logic, memory, and even compassion, among others.
