National Daughters Day
Dear proud moms and doting dads, September 25 is National Daughters Day meaning it is time to celebrate and appreciate the joy that these wonderful girls and women are to parents.
National Daughters Day was first celebrated in India as daughters were relative less importance to sons and thus were less cared for. It was adopted in the U.S. in the early 2000 and is aimed to congratulate fathers and other important man in the life of a girl for their bond they share with the girl child.
Ways to mark the day may include:
Family-together- Stop at a store, set up a dinner date, take a walk. To be frank any thing and everything you do when your daughter is the center of the activity is never wasted time.
Being able to show appreciation for her and expressing to your daughter how much she is loved and wanted. You should be gentle with her; a straightforward ‘I love you’ or maybe a small token of your affection will do the job.
Having a conversation- Family time is often overwhelmed by many other activities leaving little time for proper conversation.
