Transphobia is a Pretty Destructive Addiction
At this point, pro-trans legislation would actually help everyone
I think the problem is that people want to think they don’t see politics as entertainment but they do. Republicans loved Trump for aesthetic reasons. Democrats love to hate Trump but seem to now be desensitized to him.
This isn’t the case with trans people.
There’s this weird addiction people seem to have with us.
They often treat transition as some type of drug addiction but drugs aren’t supposed to make you more functional as a human being. That’s literally why the medical community supports this so much. It’s also why we call it a treatment. It can be like night and day.
But transphobia?
Just look at what it’s done to JK Rowling. Even her family is starting to express concern about her. The same thing for Graham Linehan, I hear he lost his wife and his career. DeSantis tried to make transphobia into a political platform and got upstaged by Nikki Haley.
This destroys these people’s lives and then they blame us, but you can see from Twitter profiles how these people can’t seem to think of anything BUT us.
