Why Are We So Tolerant of Nicotine in the Workplace?

After spending the last eight years using cannabis every day, all day — I won’t lie, I was a bit apprehensive about returning to work in a place where cannabis consumption is restricted.

I wondered if I would struggle with the reduced intake. Would I experience any withdrawal symptoms? What would happen on a stressful day? Can I still maintain my health and wellness goals with cannabis if I’m not consuming it all day?

I expected the worst.

But before I tell you what happened, let’s address the elephant.

Squelch Your Judgement

I know you’re already judging me for publically admitting that I used cannabis all day long; for those new to my stories, let me give you a brief recap. I am not the stereotypical stoner you’re picturing in your mind.

Ten years ago, I was about to turn 40 years old, and I was in the worst shape of my life. I was overweight, I was tired, and I was sabotaging my own life with a bad diet, bad habits, and bad decisions. I was dependent on several pharmaceutical medications.
