Why I Support Narayana Murthy’s 70-Hour Work Week?

Is it all about unbearable burden or the other way around?

Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys and a prominent figure in the Indian business world, has sparked a significant debate with his statement that young Indians must work for 70 hours a week.

Seems like illogical?

But are we understanding the whole context and reasons behind this statement?

Let’s see what changes can occur

Invest time:

70 hrs/week => 10 hrs/day => more productivity

With no efforts, there are no gains.

Upskill by taking the advantage of the time.

The more work we do the more we earn

Work when you can:

Young Indians need to be prepared and put in extra effort while they can.

We all lose our capacity to do work when we get older.

Bright future:

More productivity => More competitiveness

India is still a developing country.

But the youngsters can bring the change. We are the future citizens.

This is the age when you can gain expertise in any career easily, earn high income and advance in any career you want!

Fuel up early:

Do you know what most of the coders who are earning high income and stable future say?

“Start early.”

Absolutely yes.

When we start early, we try different things and decide on our careers sooner.

We set goals.

We develop matured mindsets.

We start working smart rather than hard.

What I disagree is that this statement not only applies for Indians but for all the youngsters.

This is why I support the statement.

70-Hour Work Week is not meant to imposing an unbearable burden but rather to encourage a mindset of dedication, perseverance, and hard work.

What are your views? Let me know.
