Almost everyone set goals but not everyone can make it through them. Isn’t it?

Only a few people achieve and others end up making excuses.

Successful people are not different from others. All they have different is– their mindset.

People who achieve massive success have the answers to the following questions I’m going to discuss…

#1. What Is The One Thing You Wanna Excel in?

At age 12 Kobe Bryant hadn’t scored even a single point in summer basketball camp and got devasted.

The other day he decided he wanna be the NO.1 basketball player of all time. He eliminated all the distractions, gave full attention to the game, and spent time learning in and outs of the game.

The rest is history.

He won 5 times NBA titles, 2 times NBA Finals MVPs, 2 Times scoring champions, and one time NBA most valuable player.

How did he able to achieve such massive success?

He knew his “Purpose” and the “One Thing”.

Do you know what’s yours? In what area do you wanna become a “Goat”? What is the one thing that you love to pursue but are afraid to fail?

First, you must answer these questions before diving straight into goal settings

Why is it crucial to pick one area to excel?

  • It gives you clarity about your future self. You won’t get distracted. For instance: if you want to become a writer– All you have to do is learn about writing. Your energy and time must be invested in practicing writing and absorbing content regarding writing.

“Extraordinary results are directly determined by how narrow you can make your focus … when you spread yourself out, you end up spread thin.”- Gary Keller

#2. Are you willing to give your all?

Talking about Kobe Bryant again.

Kobe was different when it comes to Work ethics.

In practice, he injured his right shoulder, and everyone pretended that Kobe will rest. But guess what he played the game with his left arm.

Nowadays, people take a day off with little flu or fever.

To become a “Goat” you have to go through hard times. You should work when it’s scary, You should get up when you didn’t get enough sleep, and you must start living beyond your natural ability and strength.

Otherwise, you will end up being mediocre.

How can you go all in?

  • First, hold yourself accountable. Take responsibility for all good and bad things. Stop making excuses because you know deep down all excuses are lies.
  • Second, train your mind to push a little more every day. Increase the intensity of whatever you’re doing. Make it a little scary or hard, So, your warrior avatar comes into play.

The road to greatness is determined by how much effort or work you do regularly. You cannot become great with little work, you must put hours to study and practice the skill you want to acquire.

#Final Thoughts

Goal setting is important, but it’s not more important than your purpose and your work ethic. If you know your purpose and have the willpower to go all in nothing can stop you.

I hope you choose wisely before diving straight into things that actually add nothing to your life.
