If you have ever disclosed to anyone that you or your child have ADHD, chances are you have dealt with someone who doesn’t believe ADHD is an actual condition. This can be incredibly frustrating and invalidating, especially if the ADHD skeptic is a family member, friend, or colleague.

It is common not to know how to respond when someone tells you that ADHD is not real, or you just need to try harder because you do not want to start an argument with that person, especially if they are a family member or employer.
