As we approach the end of the year, I begin to think about what I want to accomplish in the new year. I’m looking at all my daily habits and seeing what worked and what didn’t work.

I’ve come to realize that in order for me to be success with my goals and I am going to need to be disciplined. Not a word I like, but one that is necessary if I plan to reach my goals.

The capacity to regulate yourself may be the most valuable talent you can have. You probably already know how to get in shape, eat well, get a better-paying job, and achieve in a variety of other ways. The problem is that you don’t do those things.

What you lack is sufficient discipline. Discipline permits you to apply what you know. Without it, you’re just a dusty collection of facts.

With these tactics, you may develop the discipline you need to excel in life.

1. Rest is Crucial. Fatigue kills discipline. Have you ever observed how your discipline is weakest at night? That’s when you’re most prone to waste time.
