We’re not sure at all how this happened but somehow the James Webb Telescope keeps taking these beautiful images of the galaxy only to be ruined by these fingers. Watch that hand placement when you’re taking a picture guys.

Even if you’re floating at a La Grange point in space, you can still get one of those pesky fingers in the way. Though it’s the most advanced space-based telescope, its series of mirrors aren’t immune to this classic photography mistake.

1. Eye Galaxy

I can’t believe it but the beautiful galaxy that should look like an eye is horribly obscured just because someone didn’t watch their hand placement!

2. Spiral Galaxy

This beautiful image of a spiral galaxy would have been perfect if it weren’t for this digit in the way!

3. This Nebula

Wow, way to ruin this otherworldly camera with a thumb!

4. Star Cluster

Just because these star clusters are millions of lightyears big doesn’t mean a few inches of finger can’t totally ruin their picture.

5. Pillars of Creation

They’re gonna have to go back and retake this classic image of the Pillars of Creation. No one’s making a poster of a finger no matter how cool the background!

6. Rose Galaxy Ruined

Can you believe this misplaced index finger ruined this amazing pic of this rose-shaped Galaxy?

7. Crab Nebula

Even the Crab Nebula isn’t immune to being blocked by a misplaced finger!

8. Lagoon Nebula

Wow, this finger’s so intrusive you can barely see the beautiful Lagoon Nebula!
