A Great Vision
Our world is suffering from a lack of vision
The world needs more leaders.
Not managers, not supervisors, not rulers, not oligarchs, not patriarchs.
Leaders.
People with a vision that extends far beyond the horizon and away from what is into what might be.
We used to see this all the time — I’m most familiar with the ways in which science fiction used to provide vision far beyond what could be easily seen.
Some of those authors were wildly optimistic…Mars colonies before the year 2000, deep space exploration within a century of the first airplane flight, robot assistants who catered to your every need…it was a beautiful glimpse of what could be.
Some of them were also incredibly pessimistic, and while they may have been more realistic, they weren’t nearly as inspiring.
