A Must-Read Warning Manual for Every Aspiring Parent

So you don’t go blind into your life’s biggest decision

I am a proud and doting father of two young children — aged 5 and 1. Parenting to me, at this stage of life, is the most important thing. So much so, that I quit my 12-year investment banking career to be a stay-at-home dad.

In this nearly 6-year journey, I’ve had my fair share of lessons and way more shocks and surprises than I’d signed up for.

I’d done everything I could to be “ready” for being a parent, and yet, the on-the-job learning has been way steeper than I’d imagined.

I didn’t leave any stone unturned in speaking with experienced parents — family, friends, and professional advisors. I also read up as much as I could on parenting beforehand, yet it feels like there are surprises every day.

Not all pleasant ones either.

I’ve decided to do a public service by creating a fairly extensive warning manual that people must know before they get on their parenting journey so they can make better-informed decisions.

It all starts way before the actual childbirth

The most important decision you’ll make for your child is made way before they’re even born.
