Do you know the saying: “I have been putting a lot of thought into it, and I just don’t think being an adult is going to work for me.”

Do you like me, have days when you don’t want to get out of bed? But that isn’t going to take care of my responsibilities. So, self-discipline is necessary.

Are you like me, but you don’t have a good relationship with discipline? For years, I saw it as a punishment. Today I’m beginning to accept that having discipline means being successful in life. Without discipline none of us would be able to accomplish a thing.

Do you miss the days when you could eat an extra slice of pizza without worrying about it? Adulthood, on the other hand, instills in you the need to be more self-disciplined than you were as a youngster.

That involves saying no even when you want to say yes. Putting down the phone when your thumbs ache for a quick game. And putting off binge-watching the latest season of your favorite TV show on a Monday night for some restful sleep.
