It was never easy for both of us, but I’m still proud of us. We’ve done this for more than 44 years of the 57 years that we’ve been joined at the front of the yoke of responsibility in love. Do we still love each other? Yes, but not in a romantic way, but as a family! We had to.

We both loved our kids and other family members enough to put aside deep hurts on both sides. We got down the business of co-parenting. We’re still dealing with the blowback of our own karmas. But it was worth it, every bit of the trauma. We’ve already agreed we would do it again in a heartbeat.

So here we are again, you’ve had a recent stroke and are learning to find your powerful voice again. I’ve inched closer to death by invasive cancer than ever before. We’ve supported and cheered on each other through the worst of times and the best. We will continue to do so.

Peaceful and respectful co-parenting…
