For years, I thought I was good at communication, but I often found that people misunderstood what I was trying to say. I also often found it difficult to understand what others were trying to say, which happened when a difficult conversation was necessary.

What about you? Do people hear and understand what you are saying? Do you have trouble understanding others when it comes to communication?

Good communication has many parts. It is important to figure out what you are trying to say before having a conversation. This is especially true when you ask someone to do something for you or when you have to tell someone something that will be hard for them to hear.

Your conversational abilities can be weaker than you believe, even if you spend a lot of time chatting with people. The reason for divorce most often results from communication problems.

Research by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers indicates that over 67% of failing marriages fit this pattern. They list fallout, including arguments, misinterpretation, and a general lack of communication.
