Darrel Cambridge Takes A Bullet For The Sake Of Mankind
“Alright, we have all the cameras set up, correct?” 21-year-old Darrel Cambridge asked, overlooking the scene of his “film set”.
“Yes,” says 20-year-old Toby Haynes.
Darrel looks around him, doing this twice to see six cheap Sony camcorders set up on tripods in a V-shaped formation. The more the wings of the V formed outward, he intended to catch more of the act from various angles. In the editing process, he wanted to sort of create a replayed loop of the act from those various angles, a simple task that did decently in adding a little dramatic effect.
“Do we need six cameras?” 20-year-old Sebastian Crothers asked, stepping beside Toby with a black duffel bag in his right hand.
“I’m sorry,” said 22-year-old Elizabeth “Liz” Brockridge, stepping alongside Sebastian. “But, why are we doing this, period? I came in late, did not get the full briefing, and only know that Sebastian here is going to shoot you in the shoulder. And for some reason, you want that filmed?”
Darrel sighed. He kept silent for a moment by letting the wind brush past him, the October breeze calming to a degree. But it did not soothe his frustration completely.
