Today, I’ve decided to take you on a wild adventure, it’s called Clean and Declutter in the easiest steps I’ve found that made even me capable of doing it, and with loud power workout music, my favorite genre of music to clean with, but whatever music motivates you to clean while you listen, by all means, turn it up!We’re going to dive into an easy, effective method for decluttering and organizing your space that’s both practical and playful. We’re going to use boxes or bags to streamline the process, making it easier to clear out the stuff that doesn’t belong in a room and decide what to keep or toss.

Nobody can tell me they’ve let their house, or a part of it get away from them for many different reasons. Also, nobody can tell me they can’t do it, because if I can do it, anyone can. It’s all a matter of if you want it to look very nice again like it used to, and if you do, you’re in the right place. Unless you’d rather pay for a maid to do it for you, but does the maid know everything you want to keep, throw away, donate, just to name a few? I think not.

Step 1: Gather Your Tools

Grab three boxes or bags, whichever you prefer, and label them as follows:

• Box or Bag 1: Garbage: This one’s for items that are definitely headed to the trash. No second thoughts here.

• Box or Bag 2: Extra Cosmetics: Use this for those surplus makeup and beauty products. We’ll sort them out later.

• Box or Bag 3: Wild Card: Get creative with this one; it’s for anything else that you’re unsure about.

Step 2: Room by Room

Start in one room, and as you go about decluttering, use your designated boxes or bags.

Step 3: The Garbage Box or Bag

This one is a no-brainer. If it’s broken, expired, or simply junk, toss it in here without hesitation.

Step 4: The Extra Cosmetics Box or Bag

For those beauty products that have multiplied like rabbits, put them in this container. Later, sort through to see what’s worth keeping and what’s ready to be passed on or discarded.

Step 5: The Wild Card Box or Bag

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Use this box or bag for items you’re on the fence about. You can revisit these later to make decisions.

Personal Note: I’ve found that having a ‘Wild Card’ box or bag can be a game-changer. It lets you clear the clutter without feeling like you’re losing precious possessions.

Step 6: Review and Organize

After you’ve finished decluttering the room, revisit the ‘Wild Card’ box or bag. Take your time to decide what stays and what goes. Be ruthless but fair.

Step 7: Find a Home for Extras

For the items in your ‘Extra Cosmetics’ box or bag that you’ve decided to keep, find a designated spot for them. Consider organizing them by type or purpose.

Step 8: Repeat in Each Room

Continue this process in every room of your home. Don’t forget to enjoy some music or your favorite podcast to make it fun.

I got to a point where I stopped in my tracks, took a look around me, and was very dismayed by what saw! It’ll take me months to get all this back in order, I wailed! You know what? I got it all done within four days. It would’ve been much sooner had I not had anything distracting me and an appointment to go to during those days. It feels so empowering to look at my house now that I can be proud of it once again!

By the time you’re done, you’ll not only have decluttered effectively but also made decisions about what’s important to you. And remember, organizing doesn’t have to be all serious business. Play some music, take breaks, and enjoy the process.

Happy decluttering! 📦👜🧹
