Do They Eat Animals in Heaven?

Until my hemorrhagic stroke last November, I had been in the hospital overnight exactly one time, to deal with an ulcer that the gastroenterologist told me was caused by taking aspirin with my orange juice.

I never asked him how he knew that, but he was right. I had been dealing with a lot of headaches, and in those days, I quaffed a lot of OJ. And took a lot of aspirin. He fixed me right up, patted me on the head, and sent me on my way, telling me to stop doing that.

So getting hammered by something like this was new and not exciting. I wrote about the initial misadventures here:

Since that initial shock, I’ve started doing a lot of things differently.

One of those things has been reading about strokes and discussing them with fellow stroke rehabilitation patients.
