Like it or not, the first step in online dating is selling yourself. No, not like a whore or a gigolo. I meant like a marketing wizard. If you want to drum up interest, you must make yourself sound amazing. Some of us have to work harder than others to do so, but as long as you don’t look like an ogre’s scrotum or project a completely unlikable personality, it’s not an impossible task.

It all probably seems overwhelming, so I’m going to try to make it more manageable for you. I’ve been doing online dating for many years, and I have been rejected by a broad swath of women. It’s time for me to use my vast experience to help you. Sorry, ladies, but I have never dated a man, so I can’t offer much insight into the psyche of other guys. But I can point out things in your profile that may explain why you’re still single and in the same swamp boat as I am.

Here are some things that show up repeatedly on the dating profiles of women, and what they signify. Now, of course, this is not a foolproof list, because every woman is different, and those who are taking the time to read this article are a cut above the rest.
