Ejaculations from our Star

You must have heard/read about it. Since we can now presumably see the sun close-up, we’re able to be alert to events, at least on the side we can see, that takes place. Helios, the Sun God, I’ve adopted him as my own. One thing, he leaves, giving me much-needed time off from having to perform those pesky rituals. Warms me when cold, feel that penetrating heat radiate my core. Well, that was Palm Desert, I’m now in Chicago, and he’s slacking. Still, it’s a lot better when he’s around.

Once again, since I do look it up, I mean research it (speaking about it within earshot of Mr. G.), I’m constantly fed articles about the latest ejaculations. Best we’ve seen in years, gonna hit the earth and wipe us all out, well our systems anyway. The accompanying images are a CGI specialist’s delight. This ginormous orange orb, is over 100 times larger than poor little us, weighing about 333,000 times. Mr. G. says we can fit 1.3 million earths into it. As best we know, haven’t not yet been there, it’s comprised of predominantly Hydrogen, Helium, and some other stuff.

There’s a joke, that was funny when I was young, about (pick your punching bag) who said they’d be going to the sun. ‘The sun’, all exclaimed, ‘why you’ll burn up long before getting anywhere near it’! ‘Not to worry’, the response came — ‘we’ll be going at night’.

I’ve been to a number of places, but no auroras as yet, but soon. Being a Californian, where I’ve spent the bulk of my life, I’ve seen some amazing sunsets. Taken loads, of too many, pics. Some with color so vivid, and surreal, rays casting shadows creating artwork courtesy of mother nature herself. This happens each and every day. Never gets old though.

Back to the guys telling us about the various phenomena occurring seemingly on a daily basis. Maybe we are just better able to look at, and analyze these occurrences. Like earthquakes, there are literally around 20,000 per year, we had no idea until we were able to locate them, and feel them.

I’m a lucky guy, often find myself in the right place at the right time. This time I’ve missed it. While I’m now in Chicago enjoying watching a lake ice over, I think it’s cool, others cold. In CA over the past few weeks friends and family have been posting sunsets from there, sunsets the like of which I have never seen. Even those with shitty iPhones, (ha) are able to capture the most incredible of shots. I can honestly say I have not seen colors so dense, bright, vibrant, deep…

Does one plus one still equal three? Helios has been spewing great balls of fire at an alarming rate. Now we are getting sunsets like we’ve never seen. Mind you, I could quite easily live with a nightly event so stunning assuming, that’s all he’s exposing us to. Nature, what a wonder. Is this a sign of things to come?

You tell me…

My way of getting words on paper. Not too much editing, just thoughts, feelings, anything that strikes on the day. Images are mine, mostly.
