If you are an American, you are probably well aware that in less than a week the next president of the United States will be chosen. November 5th hangs in the air like a heavy storm cloud on the horizon, leaving many of us wondering if the storm will pass over and leave things untouched, or if it will unleash mayhem and chaos and sweep away everything we hold dear.

It is virtually impossible to avoid the daily updates, the latest gaffes, or the most recent speech given by or on behalf of the candidates. Unless a person is willing to turn off their television, keep the radio turned off, and completely avoid news web pages and social media, hearing about the election is unavoidable.

Kamala Harris is holding daily events in virtually every swing state. Michelle Obama is speaking at rallies in many of the same states. Donald Trump is continuing his dark path of lies and disinformation peppered with threats against anyone who doesn’t worship him appropriately. Just yesterday Steve Bannon, recently released from prison, came out swinging against Kamala Harris. Already his minions are launching accusations of voter fraud in Pennsylvania. In the Pacific Northwest, several ballot drop boxes were set on fire, destroying the ballots inside. We can only imagine the…
