How I Manage Being a Highly Sensitive Person in a “Loud, Fast, Too Much World”
It’s definitely a challenge, but not impossible
I’ve been meaning to write about what it’s like being a highly sensitive person or HSP for a while now and just haven’t gotten around to it until a few days ago.

That’s when I saw a post on Facebook by one of the authors of Sensitive: The Hidden Power of the HSP in a Loud, Fast, Too Much World, which, as you can see, is where part of my title comes from.
Here’s what the author, Andre Solo, posted —
“Sensitive people are often seen as ‘too sensitive,’ ‘anxious,’ ‘too emotional,’ or even ‘shy.’ But being sensitive is your greatest gift. It’s why you think deeply, feel passionately, are moved by beauty, care with all your heart, and notice the things that others miss.”
I’ve known I am highly sensitive for 30 plus years now, so I could definitely relate to what he was saying and commented with a resounding —
“Amen! Find ways to manage the intensity of it.”
… after reading comments by others who said they hated being highly sensitive, were miserable…
