How Much Are People Making On Medium?

Talking about money can be weird. Are you boasting, complaining, lying, or just being factual when you say how much you’re earning?

I know many people don’t like to get into the crude details of how much money they make. Personally, I do not have those problems, per se. But I do feel a little bit weird sharing my earnings. That’s because I don’t want it to seem like I’m boasting (so delusional, what would I be boasting about?), but also, I don’t want it to sound like I’m complaining (would make more sense, even if it isn’t accurate).

It’s a tricky balance to reach, especially when sharing online, without voice tone and facial expressions and with different cultural expectations and norms when it comes to talking about monetary gains.

Regardless of the awkwardness that comes with talking about money, though, I must confess that I’m extremely curious about how much money people are making here on Medium.

From what I see around this platform, so are many others.

So I thought, why not make an anonymous form? That way, we can all share how much we make without actually putting our names out there, and at the same time, we can see how…
