If Hamas Is Okay, Then Nazis Are Too
On a refutable evil that’s been frightfully condoned by many
When it comes to a complex conflict like the Israeli-Palestinian struggle [that’s existed on and off for over seven decades], my orthodox approach is to believe that there is good and bad on both sides. It’s almost a default mindset of mine, me believing that there are good Palestinians and there are bad Palestinians, there are good Israelis and there are bad Israelis; there are good Muslims and there are bad Muslims; there are good Jews and there are bad Jews. I know I’m not alone in holding this view, not by far. But there are exceptions to this rule and it’s in this respect that I am not talking about Palestine or Palestinians, but rather Hamas.
Hamas, as a whole, is an evil entity. To question that is to question common sense morality that if one were to choose to do so while at the same time claiming he condemns the likes of Nazis, al-Qaeda, or ISIS as evil, then that person is either witlessly inconsistent or they’re intentionally being dishonest (of course, the world is full of both types). Certain individual members may not be despicable or even evil for that matter, but that does not mean that the organization as a whole is innocent.
However, what makes Hamas exceptional to many in the current Israeli-Palestinian debacle…
