Just recently after suffering a bike accident that ruined my front wheel, I decided it was time to put the old wreck out to pasture and buy a new cruiser to replace the old one.
That led me to Facebook Marketplace where for $50, I scored a somewhat used but in very good condition bicycle that originally retailed for $500. Not bad — except the bike is really too small for me — a reality that sent me on a quest for an extremely long seat post that would enable me to stretch out my six foot frame while pedaling.
Bike stores wanted $25 for the part (if they had it) while Amazon’s price was only $9. That meant buying the part on Amazon. Rather than pay the shipping fee, I added on some stuff I would need eventually (nasal spray, sunblock, guitar cords, and a flash drive) to up the bill north of $35 which as we all know, entitles me to free shipping (I don’t have prime).
After effecting the order, I did a little inventory on the flash drives in my possession to see exactly how much space I have left before I’ll need to use the new purchase.
