It feels like everyone reaches a certain age and starts becoming aware of feeling older. Painfully aware, often. Though not every symptom of aging deals with physical pain and discomfort, enough of them do. Especially when the weather changes.

Some folks are quite physically fit for their age, while others have health problems. Some deal with mental illness or a rough upbringing that causes them to be far more serious than some who are more naturally laid-back and laugh at most things. Our mental health can greatly factor into our feelings of aging.

I never get carded at the liquor store anymore. I get far too much AARP mail, even though I’m not 50 yet. I was thinking about this today, as my birthday looms ahead in October.

It made me think about ways that I’m starting to feel old. Some of them were pretty amusing, and a few of them, not as much. Here’s a list of reasons I’m starting to feel kind of old.
