It’s Time To Get Back Up
Some days will be rough going
I’ve been feeling just disappointed in humanity. Worse than that, I’ve been asking myself, “What’s the point?” I guess a lot of us have been struggle with that feeling recently. Things are so bad I’ve even thought that maybe devolving humanity doesn’t deserve to survive.
But, the sun is breaking through… those feelings are giving way to hope.
Those feelings weren’t just because of the US election. We see bad humaning all around the world. And, the global response to bad actions is always some baked-in bad humaning overreaction. Seems like there’s just too damn much bad humaning going on.
“Humaning” is humans doing human-y stuff that no other creatures would do. All humaning is not bad
Trying to damage or destroy artistic masterpieces and historically significant documents to protest climate change is never going to change minds. Laying waste to an entire nation in reaction to a deadly tragic, but ultimately small attack is out of all sane proportion. Then again, attacking a nation with the intent of eradicating them, instead of helping your own people, doesn’t make for a sympathetic cause either.
These overreactions can only make you a kook or a monster — and that’s bad humaning.
