When you listen to the word heaven, a picture like this would come to your mind
Everything that’s pitch white, “pure,” happiness, laughter, peace.
Whereas, when you listen to the word hell: this picture would most probably come to your mind
A place where people are boiling you in whatever oil you like, eating you, piercing you, etc.
Now, take a moment to understand that it was your mind telling you what hell or heaven looks like. I don’t think anyone must have fallen from the sky or erupted from the earth to give his testimony. It’s just a mental creation of one’s mind, nothing else.
Heaven denotes the psychic state of peace and happiness, whereas hell denotes the psychic state of grief and depression.
Imagination alone is hell. Heaven, too, is just an imagination of the mind. The only difference is that one is used to scare you, and the other is used to boost your ego. The body, hell, heaven, bondage, and fear are all imagination.
When you live with love, compassion, kindness, and empathy in your heart, you create heaven for yourself here. So please don’t kill yourself to experience it somewhere else you will be highly disappointed. On the other hand, if you live with hatred, sorrow, revenge, and grief in your heart, you are creating hell for yourself right in front of your eyes.
Both psychic states of hell and heaven are experienced here and now.
