More Biblical Errors
Even more errors from the “infallible” scriptures
I seem to have hit a nerve with some of my more “faith-based” readers. They seem to think that the errors I’ve highlighted in these articles don’t actually exist, and if I think that then I’m incorrect in my identifying of those verses as errors. Rather than actually refute the errors they insist that I’m not educated enough in the scriptures to understand why these aren’t actually errors but rather are some sort of divine puzzle or something.
It sounds like a lot of gate-keeping nonsense to me, and that they aren’t thinking objectively enough to see the issues.
You see I grew up in the church, and I’ve heard all of this bullshit before for decades of my life. I also realize that even with an incredible amount of mental gymnastics it can’t all just be explained away, which is why pastors instead decide to just omit certain topics in the Bible from their sermons.
After all it’d be pretty embarrassing to get called out in your own church and have no explanation whatsoever, but if all else fails you can always default to “the Lord works in mysterious ways” or “some mysteries won’t be revealed to us until we get to heaven”.
Those seem to silence the small amount of doubt you may get from the average churchgoer.
