O! Say, Do You See?

The price of intolerance

O! Say, do you see, through your partisan sights,
All those rights you so hail are but freedom’s last leaving,
While broad hates and bright fears foster angers and fights
From your smartphones you watch, tears silently streaming.
And Rescue’s red glare as rounds race through the air
Gives proof to the lie for each other we care.
O! say, can you see by the flames from our home
In our land which knew welcome now hatred does roam.
