Kamala Harris’ closing message at the Ellipse in Washington, DC
Kamala Harris’ choice of location to deliver her closing message reclaimed the Ellipse from the shit-stain of January 6. On that date in 2021, Trump stoked a deadly insurrection from that very spot.
One week before election day 2024, a record-breaking 75,000 ebullient and joyful attendees gathered at the Ellipse. The representative diversity of those gathered there looked like America. Compare that to the crowds of angry mostly white men at the Stop the Steal Rally in 2021 which was anything but indicative of our national diversity.
Harris’ gathering at the Ellipse numbered 22,000 MORE than Trump’s murderous crowd. Hers was the largest gathering ever at the site, also known as “President’s Park South.” Kamala Harris delivered an optimistic message with the White House at her back, offering a hopeful vision for all of America. Her message turns the page hate and division, to new chapter of hope and optimism in our American Dream.
