I wrote recently about life events during late 2022 and early 2023 that left me too weary to think, let alone write. I came into 2023 completely unprepared, so, here I am feeling like I’m playing catch-up.

But you can’t re-capture would 'a, should 'a, or could 'a events.

Even so, most of us have looked back over our shoulder to gaze longingly at the times we loved, hated, or regretted. So, here I go, indulging myself, ever so briefly, before re-focusing on 2023.

Observing What I wrote in 2022

Although I joined Medium in 2020, it was spring of 2022 before I devoted much time to learning how to use the platform and sharing my writing on a regular basis. I veered away from the fiction that I’d been writing and began playing with new ideas.

I could analyze all the stats and bore you (and me) to death, but I just can’t this year. I’m not in that frame of mind.

No, what I did find looking through seventy-three articles was that I had taken a journey of self-exploration, and in sharing my experiences with my readers, in one way or another, I learned about myself. What did I learn?

  • Who I Am
  • What I Want to Write
