So Much Money to be Made
Bad kids are being sent to wayward youth camps where they are traumatized and come out worse than before they went in.
Who knew there was so much money to be made off of the tauma of your youth?
Turns out it’s a billion dollar industry.
Reading about the psychological torture of “out of control” teenagers reminds me of the Fundamentalist Christian torture camps in the documentary “Let us Prey”.
Solitary confinement, forced labor, long marches into the desert, abuse and torture are things we would expect to see in a third world prison, but we can find all of these things right here in the good ole US of A.
The troubled teen industry is one of the most unregulated industry involving minors unless anyone reading this can tell me of another, I can’t think of another one. Let me know in the comments.
Paris Hilton, the multi-billion dollar heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune was sent to one of these camps in Provo Canyon Utah.
Imagine my shock upon hearing this.
Why in the name of hell would billionaire parents send their daughter to a place like that?
Whatever they were trying to accomplish with that, it didn’t work.
She was given a name with just the number 127 and that’s how they referred to her.
Charming.
She was kept indoors for eleven months, deprived of fresh air, and sunlight. She was strangled, slapped across the face, called vile names, kept in solitary confinement in a room smeared with blood and walls covered in scratches.
She was forced to take medication with no doctor’s prescription and was forced to shower under male staff supervision.
Makes me despise David Letterman just a little more. With this beyond cringy interview where he jokes about her being in jail and who knows what else even after she had specifically asked him not to question her about her stint in jail.
If he had given half a shit, he would have found out about her background and could have blown that story wide open right there in his show.
He is a very good interviewer and is good at getting people to open up to him and say what’s on their minds.
Instead, he resorted to cheap laughs at Paris’s expense with double entendres and bathroom humor.
Well done, you. *slow clap.

If anything this experience didn’t teach her shit and made her even worse. They even gave her her own movie “Girls Gone Wild” so the world could laugh at them and give creepy men a boner at the same time.
Reminds me of Britany Spears.
Starting to see a pattern?
This entire spiral of trauma got started way back in her youth.
Most kids that go through these torture camps are usually much worse when they eventually get out.
Children that go through programs built upon corporal punishment and behavior modification are eight percent more likely to continue their actions as opposed to thirteen percent reduction of recidivism or reduction with licensed counseling.
Don’t get me wrong, thirteen percent isn’t an awesome result but it sure as hell beats the eight percent increase in bad behavior, I can tell you that.
Who thought that forcing kids to live in a constant state of fear was a good idea for helping kids?
Oh, that’s right.
The fundamentalists and sadists who live among us that get off on the pain and discomfort of others.
Sick twisted bastards.
