Let’s try out my scriptwriting skills, shall we?

So I tasked myself with writing a script for a fictional YouTube channel to test out my skills. Let me know what you think.

Even spirits need a place to socialize and run free, like having their own private lounge.

Welcome back to another episode of UnRaveled, where nothing is left hidden. I am your host, {Your Name}, and welcome to the Top 5 Most Haunted Places In America. Before we begin, be sure to subscribe to our channel to get updates on our newest releases.

{Intro Song}

Opening up our list at number 5, The Winchester Mystery House.

Located In San Jose, California, this mansion was built by Sarah Winchester, who was the widow of William Winchester, who founded the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. After her husband died of tuberculosis, she believed that she was haunted by the ghosts of people killed by Winchester rifles, so she had this huge house built to keep the spirits away from her and he family.

She believed that to keep the spirits at bay; she had to build an elaborate maze to confuse them. She hired carpenters and builders to work on it 24/7 for 38 years — and they never stopped building it. She eventually passed, and construction stopped. The house has 160 rooms and is six stories tall — and it’s still not finished!

The house is open for tour till this day, so you can check it out and let us know what you see… or hear.

At number 4, The Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery in Chicago.

No, I don’t mean a fancy name. I mean, literally, where they bury dead bodies.

This cemetery has been abandoned for years because people say there are ghosts lurking around out there. As far back as the 1950s, stories have circulated about paranormal activity taking place out at Bachelors Grove cemetery and its immediate area.

There are no records of how many people are buried there or even why it was built in the first place, so nobody really knows anything about it or what happened there.

You can check it out and keep an eye out for ghosts. Or 2.

The Stanley Hotel takes its home at number 3. Built in 1909 in Estes Park, Colorado, the hotel was once a favorite vacation spot for celebrities like John Lennon and Yoko Ono. They wrote their song “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” in 1971. Also, it inspired the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s 1977 best-selling novel The Shining and its 1980 film adaptation.

But this hostel has a dark past. In 1969, a caretaker named Flora Mae Baxter murdered her husband and four children by poisoning them with arsenic. Since then, many guests have reported strange occurrences at the hotel — some even say they’ve seen the apparition of Flora Mae herself roaming the halls at night!

At number 2, we have The Myrtles Plantation in St Francisville, Louisiana. Said to be one of the most haunted houses in America, it owes its fame to its notorious and rich history. The sugar plantation was built in 1796 and is now an inn and restaurant; it is home to many spirits and haunted sightings.

Over the years, the house has witnessed a lot of deaths, some natural and some resulting from violent confrontations. The house served as a hospital for wounded soldiers during the Civil War; slaves were killed on the grounds, and even one of the owners, William Winter, died on the 17th step of the house after being shot.

Reports of mysterious occurrences include strange spectral sightings, claw marks, blood stains on the stairs, and fingerprints on mirrors. Even some guests have said to have heard the dying steps of William Winter.

Taking the spot at number 1 is the infamous Amityville Horror House. This house has been a must-see on the big screens of Hollywood, with many movies, documentaries, and books talking about the horrors within its walls.

This house is where Ronald DeFeo Jr., also called Butch, shot and killed six members of his family in their sleep on November 13th, 1974, at 3:15 in the morning. He claimed the demonic voices in his head ordered him to do it.

What made this rather puzzling was that none of the neighbors heard any sounds that night from the shots fired. He didn’t use a silencer, so it was like the house muffled the shots. He was later found guilty of 6 counts of murder and died in prison in 2021.

In 1975 George and Kathy Lutz moved into the house with their three children but left 28 days later, claiming paranormal activity at night, including furniture moving around on its own and windows opening or closing by themselves without any wind outside!

This led to the famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren taking up this chilling case.

Regardless of if it’s truly haunted or not, I would definitely not buy a house where six people were murdered in cold blood.

Well, that’s all we have for you today. Thank you guys for watching. If you enjoyed this video, remember to give it a thumbs up and click on that tiny bell to get notifications when we drop new videos.
